Malaysia's COVID-19 death toll remains at 115

Jun 02, 2020

Only 20 new COVID-19 cases were reported today, raising the number to 7,877

The Health Ministry adds that 66 patients were discharged from hospital, meaning that over 6,400 people have now made full recoveries.

Once again, the death toll remains unchanged, at 115.

Government to finalise more SOPs this weekend

SOPs for the reopening of several more social and commercial activities could be finalised this weekend.

Defence Minister, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob says, this includes SOPs for religious programmes, night markets, and barbers and hair salons.

Meanwhile, for those who are about to get married, couples are now allowed to do pre-wedding photoshoots outdoors, provided they follow current heatlh guidelines.

On another note, Datuk Seri Ismail says all childcare centres are now allowed to reopen.

Why is this month's water bill higher than previous months?

The National Water Services Commission has explained why your May water bill is higher compared to March and April.

It says the previous two bills were based on estimates, because the Movement Control Order prevented on-site meter readings.

Actual meter readings resumed last month, meaning that the calculation for May bill takes into account adjustments for the March and April bills as well.
