Jun 07, 2020

Barbershops, hair salons and beauty parlours will be allowed to resume operations from this coming Wednesday.

According to Senior Minister for Security, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, open markets, morning markets, night markets and bazaars will also be allowed to open again, starting June 15th.

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister will address the nation today, regarding the Movement Control Order.

It comes with the current CMCO set to end on the 9th.

Malaysia unlikely to see rise in COVID-19 infections

Health Director-General Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah does not expect another spike in new Covid-19 cases.

This is because authorities are nearly done with screening undocumented foreign workers at four Immigration Detention Centres.

Positive cases among the detainees had earlier pushed the number of cases to triple digits this past Thursday.

Government to work with foreign embassies over undocumented migrants

Malaysia is seeking the assistance of the various embassies and high commissions here, to help with deporting undocumented migrants back to their home countries.

Defence Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob says so far, the government has received good response from the Indonesian and Chinese embassies.
