MOE hopeful of finishing school syllabus in time for major exams

The Education Ministry is optimistic that schools will have enough time to finish this year’s syllabus.
It says the schedule will be restructured once schools reopen in stages, as it first needs to assess the situation once students return to the classroom.
This, after it was announced yesterday that schools will start reopening on June 24th, starting with those who are taking public exams like SPM and STPM.

The crime rate has gone down since the implementation of the MCO.
Bukit Aman says the crime index saw an over 46 percent drop since March.
Meanwhile, the number of traffic accidents has been on the rise, since restrictions were eased under the Conditional MCO.
The Health Ministry says the average daily accident rate went from just over 392 during the MCO to 738 since the Conditional MCO was imposed in early May.
This figure is also expected to rise, now that travel restrictions have been eased further under the RMCO.
