2.8 million Malaysians risk losing jobs, if lockdown returns

Almost 3 million people could lose their jobs if Malaysia goes into a total lockdown.

Putrajaya says they will look into all possible repercussions when deciding on this matter before the MCO ends on February 4th.

The government adds that more than 13 thousand companies had shut down between March and October last year.

Married couples living in different states may now cross state borders to meet up.

Senior Minister for Security Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, however, discouraged those exhibiting coronavirus symptoms to travel.

However, he says they must first get approval and permission from the police before embarking on their journey.

The price of onions in the country has stabilised, and there is sufficient supply to last until August.
