KL and Selangor highly compliant with SOPs

Public compliance to MCO rules in KL and Selangor is above 90%.
Police say only about 1,500 compound fines had been issued for various offences from mid last month.
This as stiffer fines are set to take effect soon for rulebreakers of SOPs under the MCO.
Some 52,000 micro SMEs that submitted appeals for the Prihatin Special Grant 2.0 will receive payments on Friday.
The Finance Ministry says the one-off aid of RM3000 will be credited directly into the recipients registered bank accounts.
The approval status can be checked starting today via the GPK portal.
Malaysia recorded an uptick in new Covid-19 positive cases with 4,284 new infections yesterday.
Selangor continues to record the highest number of infections with 1,572, followed by Johor, and KL.
The death toll also surpassed the 800 mark, after 18 people succumbed to the virus.
