Lionel Messi is now a free agent.
The Argentine’s existing contract with Barcelona expired this morning, meaning he is officially without a club for the first time in his professional career.
Messi is now free to negotiate with any interested party and can join any club for free.
However, sources say he remains in talks to sign a new deal with Barca.

The player is now set to become the second-most expensive English player of all time, behind his potential new teammate Harry Maguire, who cost United 80 million pounds.

England supporters have been urged not to travel to Rome for their side’s Euro 2020 quarterfinal against Ukraine on Sunday.
This is because anyone entering Italy would have to quarantine for five days, and would therefore miss the match.
England’s ticket allocation will now be sold to supporters who are already residing in Italy.
It means the Three Lions will have to take to the pitch without a majority of their vocal fans, having previously played all their Euro 2020 games at Wembley.

Giorgio Chiellini is back in training with the Italy squad, ahead of their Euro 2020 clash with Belgium this weekend.
The captain had missed their last-16 win over Austria due to a thigh injury.
However, he is now back in contention for a place in the starting eleven alongside his defensive partner and Juventus teammate Leonardo Bonucci.
