Selangor FC Files Appeal

Jul 01, 2024

selangor fc files appeal

Selangor FC has already submitted its appeal over their punishment for pulling out of the Charity Shield.

The club says the appeal was submitted to the Malaysian Football League at the weekend but declined to give further details.

According to earlier reports, the MFL initially fined Selangor RM100,000 over the no-show, but it was later reduced to RM60,000.

France will take on Belgium in tonight's Euro 2024 last-16 tie, in a rematch of the 2018 World Cup semifinals.

Kylian Mbappe, who broke his nose early in the tournament, is expected to start again for France after playing the full 90 minutes against Poland.

Meanwhile Portugal boss Roberto Martinez has urged his players to maintain discipline in their Euro clash against Slovenia.

This is because 5 of their players, including Cristiano Ronaldo are at risk of suspension, if they get booked in the clash.

Meanwhile Marc Guehi will miss England's Euro 2024 quarterfinal against Switzerland due to suspension.

This is after the defender picked up a yellow card in their narrow 2-1 win over Slovakia.

Newcastle boss Eddie Howe has urged the club to resist the temptation to sell striker Alexander Isak, amid interest from Chelsea.
