Fulham Knock Man United Out Of The FA Cup

Holders Man United have crashed out of the FA Cup after losing to Fulham in their fifth-round tie this morning.

The game was level at 1-1 at the end of extra-time, with Victor Lindeloff and Joshua Zirkzee both missing their spot kicks in the subsequent shootout to see United exit 4-3 on penalties.

The loss means that the Europa League is now United’s only chance of winning a trophy this season.

Another FA Cup match saw Brighton score an extra-time winner to record a 2-1 win over Newcastle.

Meanwhile, the draw for the FA Cup quarterfinals has been completed…and will see Fulham take on Crystal Palace.

Preston will face Aston Villa.

Bournemouth are up against Man City.

While Brighton will play either Nottingham Forest or Ipswich.

Barcelona have returned to the top of La Liga after a 4-0 victory over Real Sociedad.

Barca are now one point ahead of second-placed Atletico and have also extended their winning run in the league to six matches.

Marc Marquez has won the season-opening Thai MotoGP ahead of his younger brother Alex while Franceso Bagnania finished in third.

And national water-skier Aaliyah Yoong Hanifah has won gold medals in the jump, tricks and overall categories at the IWWF University World Championships in New Zealand.
