Elaine Thompson-Herah has won the women’s 200m gold medal at the Tokyo Games.

The Jamaican came in ahead of Christine Mboma of Namibia and the USA’s Gabby Thomas.

Thompson-Herah has now completed an unprecedented double-double at the Olympics…becoming the first woman to successfully defend both her 100m and 200m gold medals.

Her time of 21.53 seconds in last night’s final also makes her the second-fastest woman in history over 200m’s.

Simone Biles has taken the bronze medal in the gymnastics individual beam final.

It was the American’s first event since pulling out of the other team and individual finals in Tokyo to protect her mental health.

Biles says she had to overcome so much emotionally and mentally to claim the bronze, that it means more to her than her earlier gold medals.

UK reports say Tottenham striker Harry Kane will return this weekend, having missed two days of training with the London club without providing a reason.

Kane’s absence has intensified speculation that he’s trying to push for a move away from the London club, amid interest from Man City.
