(Is Alonso the best replacement for Klopp? He's not too Xabi)
Liverpool legend Dietmar Hamann says his former teammate Xabi Alonso is the perfect candidate to replace outgoing boss Jurgen Klopp.
He says the club's fans already regard him as a hero due to his achievements as a player.
This is in addition to the impressive work he's doing as manager of German club Bayer Leverkusen.
Alonso is one of several possible candidates for the Liverpool job, in addition to Brighton's Roberto de Zerbi and Tottenham's Ange Postecoglu.

Also, Barcelona's sporting director says it's too soon to discuss the possibility of them signing Klopp.
The German coach is seen as a possible successor to Xavi, who's stepping down at the end of the season.

Former Chelsea striker Chris Sutton says the Blues must show more patience with under-fire boss Mauricio Pochettino, saying he needs more than one season to develop a trophy-winning team.
The Argentine's future is in doubt following their recent loss to Wolves, which left them 15 points off the top four.

The actual sprint race will then be held on Saturday morning before the qualifiers for Sunday's main race.
