Son: Europa League Result Was A Wake-Up Call
Mar 07, 2025

Tottenham's Son Heung Min says his team received a huge wake-up call, after they lost 1-0 to AZ Alkmar in this morning's Europa League last-16 first leg.
He admits the team played poorly, and must do a lot better in next week's return leg, which he described as their biggest game of the season.
This, as the Europa League is Spurs’ last chance to win a trophy this season.

Meanwhile, Man United boss Ruben Amorim says his players were too anxious on the pitch, which affected their decision-making in their Europa League clash against Real Sociedad.
United were held to a 1-1 draw, ahead of next week's return leg at Old Trafford.

Neymar has earned his first call up for Brazil in one and a half years, for their upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Colombia and arch-rivals Argentina.
The attacker, who recently returned to his boyhood club Santos, has not played for the national team since he suffered an injury in October of 2023.

Joshua Kimmich may end up staying at Bayern Munich this summer, despite interest from clubs including Arsenal and PSG.
Earlier reports suggested that the Germany midfielder's future was in doubt after contract negotiations with Bayern stalled.
