France have been held to a 1-all draw by Croatia in their Nations League group tie this morning.
This means the defending champions have only one point from two matches, having lost their opening game to Denmark last week.
The result leaves France third in their group…and facing an uphill battle to qualify for the finals.

Kylian Mbappe is the most valuable footballer in the world.
According to the research group Football Observatory…the PSG striker has an estimated transfer value of over 175 million pounds.
That puts him ahead of Real Madrid’s Vinicius Jr…and the Man City-bound Erling Haaland.
The ranking is determined using a player’s age, performance and economic value of their club.

Liverpool vice-captain James Milner has signed a contract extension to remain with the Reds for another season.
The 36-year-old is believed to have accepted a significant pay cut in order to extend his stay at Anfield, despite receiving offers from at least three other clubs.
Separately, Liverpool have reportedly rejected Bayern Munich’s initial offer of 25 million pounds for striker Sadio Mane.
Sources say the Reds are holding out for more money, but have not indicated the price at which they would be willing to sell.

Championship side Cardiff City are reportedly planning an audacious bid to sign Gareth Bale.
The Wales captain is available on a free transfer after leaving Real Madrid…and has recently been linked with a return to the Premier League with his former club Tottenham.
However, Cardiff are hoping to attract Bale with the prospect of regular first team football ahead of the World Cup.
They also want to make him a central figure, to guide the team back into the Premiership.
