Norris Wins British GP

Lando Norris has won his home British F1 GP with victory in the rain-affected race at Silverstone.

He benefited from a 10-second penalty to McLaren teammate Oscar Piastri, who finished in second place ahead of Sauber’s Nico Hulkenberg in third.

The result cuts Piastri’s lead over Norris in the drivers’ standings to just eight points.

In tennis…two-time defending champion Carlos Alcaraz has made the quarterfinals at Wimbledon…after a four-sets win over Andrey Rublev.

At 22-years-old the Spaniard is now the youngest player to reach three consecutive quarterfinals at the tournament since fellow countryman Rafa Nadal.

Arsenal have completed the signing of midfielder Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad in a deal worth almost 60 million pounds.

Separately, Al Nassr are reportedly looking to hijack Arsenal’s potential move for Real Madrid forward Rodrygo, with the Saudi club already making contact with the Spanish giants.
