Goodison Prepares for Final Merseyside Derby

Feb 12, 2025

goodison prepares for final merseyside derby

New Everton boss David Moyes will face his biggest hurdle yet, when the Toffees host leaders Liverpool in the Premier League tomorrow morning.

Since taking charge, Moyes has guided Everton to three consecutive EPL wins, which moved them nine points clear of the relegation zone.

Another win against their Merseyside rivals will move Everton further up in the table, above Man United and Tottenham.

Meanwhile, victory for Liverpool will extend their Premier League lead to 9 points.

It will be a historic game, as it's the final Merseyside Derby at Goodison Park, with Everton moving to a new stadium this summer.

Erik Ten Hag has been linked with a return to the Netherlands, just 4 months after he was sacked by Man United.

Reports say he's wanted by Feyenoord, who recently dismissed the manager they hired after Arne Slot moved to Liverpool.

--

Other reports claim that Champions League matches, including the final, could be staged in the US from 2033 onwards.

This, as part of a new commercial rights deal being negotiated between UEFA and an American marketing agency.

--

And, at the Badminton Asia Mixed Team Championship, Malaysia have lost 3-2 to Hong Kong in their opening Group B tie.

Malaysia will take on Indonesia tomorrow.
