Euro 2020: Spain and Sweden play out stalemate

Spain and Sweden have opened their Euro 2020 campaign with a goalless draw in Group E.
The Spaniards enjoyed the majority of possession and completely dominated the game, but could not find a way past the stubborn Swedish defense.
It caps a frustrating start to the campaign for Spain, whose preparations were disrupted by two positive Covid-19 cases in the squad.

Meanwhile, Patrik Schick scored one of the goals of the tournament, as the Czech Republic opened their campaign with a 2-0 win over Scotland.
The Bayer Leverkusen forward volleyed in from the halfway line to secure the Group D victory.

Meanwhile, in Group E action…Slovakia pulled off a surprise 2-1 win over Poland, who had to play the final 30 minutes with 10 men after having a player sent off.

Indonesia’s Olympic gold medal-winning shuttler Markis Kido has died of a heart attack at the age of 37.
