No Additional Security Needed For Paralympians

The Paralympic Council of Malaysia says no additional security measures are needed for our athletes, who’ll be competing at the Paris Paralympics.
It says it was initially planning on giving the participants digital trackers…but it has since been assured by organisers that security will be beefed up in Paris, in the wake of political tension there.
PCM president Datuk Seri Megat D. Shahriman Zaharudin says he is also in constant communication with the Malaysian Embassy, about the latest situation on the ground.

Meanwhile, the Malaysian Wheelchair Tennis Association has confirmed that Mohammad Yusshazwan Yusuf has booked his place at the Paris Paralympics…making the cut on merit due to his world ranking.

Sarina Wiegman – the head coach of England’s women’s football team, has brushed off rumours that she could replace Gareth Southgate as manager of the men’s senior squad.
She’s adamant that she’s happy in her current position, having recently helped the Lionesses qualify for the women’s Euros next year.
This comes as the English FA continues its search for a new manager, after Gareth Southgate stepped down in the wake of their Euro 2024 defeat.

FIFA has opened an official investigation into a viral video, showing Argentina players singing a song deemed to be racist, while celebrating their Copa America victory.
