Pep Should Replace Klopp.

Mar 19, 2024

pep should replace klopp.

Liverpool should find an internal replacement for Jurgen Klopp instead of hiring a new manager from elsewhere.

According to club legend Phil Thompson, Liverpool would be better off if they retain assistant boss Pep Lijnders.

This is because he's already familiar with the club and is a great coach in his own right.

Klopp is leaving Anfield at the end of the season, and Bayer Leverkusen's Xabi Alonso is reportedly the favourite to replace him.

Lionel Messi will be a no-show for Argentina during the current international break.

According to Argentina's FA, the World Cup winner is nursing a hamstring injury that he picked up while playing for Inter Miami.

Argentina have two friendlies lined up, against El Salvador on Saturday, and Costa Rica this coming Wednesday.

--

Speaking of Messi, Hong Kong football fans who bought tickets to see the Inter Miami friendly in which Messi was benched will be entitled to a 50% refund.

However, they must sign an agreement that they won't sue the organisers in court.

--

And Arsenal, Liverpool and Man City are reportedly racing to sign Bayern Munich midfielder Joshua Kimmich.

The midfielder's current Bayern contract expires mid next year, and he has yet to agree on an extension.
