Malaysia has picked up two historic victories at the Thailand Badminton Open.

This, after Pearly Tan-M Thinaah won the women’s doubles title to become the first ever Malaysian women’s pair to win the tournament.

Compatriots Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik also join them in the history books, after ending Malaysia’s 16-year wait for the men’s doubles title.

Still on our athletes…Malaysia has finished as runners-up in the team event at the Sepaktakraw Asian Cup, after going down to Thailand in the final.

Over in the Serie A…Inter missed the chance to go top of the table after being held to a 2-2 draw by Lazio, while leaders Napoli played out a goalless draw with Parma.

Napoli now hold a single point advantage over Inter heading into the final round of matches.

Elsewhere, PSV Eindhoven have retained their Dutch League title after a 3-1 win over Sparta Rotterdam on the final day of the season, saw them finish the campaign one point ahead of Ajax.

While in EPL action…Arsenal defeated Newcastle 1-nil to guarantee a place in next season’s Champions League.

And, Max Verstappen has won the Emilia Romagna F1 GP, taking the chequered flag ahead of Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri.
