Chelsea’s Ngolo Kante and Jorginho… as well as Man City’s Kevin De Bruyne have been shortlisted for the UEFA male Player of the Year award.
This is the first time in the 11-year history of the award that all three nominees are midfielders.
PSG’s Lionel Messi missed out on the shortlist by coming in fourth after the voting, ahead of last year’s winner Robert Lewandowski and Italy keeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.

Portuguese side Pacos de Ferreira have pulled off a surprise 1-0 win over Tottenham, in the first leg of their UEFA Conference League play-off this morning.
Spurs had failed to even register a single shot on target in the game.
Tottenham now need to win next week’s return leg in London, to avoid an embarrassing early exit from Europe’s third-tier competition.

This October’s Malaysian Motorcycle Grand Prix has been cancelled because of the current Covid-19 situation in the country.
This is the second year in a row the race has been called off.
Despite the setback, the Sepang International Circuit says it remains optimistic that the prestigious race will be held here again next year.
The latest cancellation also means Malaysian fans will miss out on the chance to see Valentino Rossi in action in Sepang one last time, before the MotoGP legend retires at the end of the season.
