Barca Lose Champions League Opener

Sep 20, 2024

barca lose champions league opener

Barcelona have had a losing start to their Champions League campaign.

This is after the Catalan giants lost 2-1 at Monaco this morning.

Barca were down to 10 men for most of the game, after Eric Garcia was shown a straight red card in the 10th minute.

Arsenal’s David Raya has been hailed a hero in their goalless draw against Atalanta in the Champions League.

This is after the Spanish goalkeeper pulled off a double-save, to prevent Atalanta from scoring a second-half penalty.

--

Malaysian shuttlers Chen Tang Jie/Toh Ee Wei could take a break to recharge their batteries following a hectic schedule.

According to Ee Wei, the duo may compete in the upcoming tournaments in Europe, but this has yet to be confirmed.

This, after they blamed fatigue for their 2nd round exit at the China Open yesterday.

--

Meanwhile 5 of our reps will be competing in the China Open quarter-finals today, including an all-Malaysian men's doubles clash between Goh Sze Fei/Nur Izzuddin and Man Wei Chong/Tee Kai Wun.

Ong Yew Sin/Teo Ee Yi, Goh Soon Huat/Shevon Lai and Hoo Pang Ron/Cheng Su Yin are also in action today.
