Man City return to the top of the EPL standings

Man City restored their lead at the top of the EPL standings after a 3-0 win over Brighton this morning.
The defending champions had to wait until the 53rd minute to open the scoring, with Riyad Mahrez and Phil Foden finding the back of the net, before Bernado Silva sealed the win.
The victory means City are once again one point ahead of second-placed Liverpool, with six matches to go.

In other EPL results, Arsenal are back in the running for a top-four finish, after beating Chelsea 4-2 at Stamford Bridge.
The Gunners are now level on points with fourth-placed Tottenham…with the North London Derby still to come.

Real Madrid are closing in on the La Liga title.
They defeated Osasuna 3-1 this morning, to open up a 17-point lead at the top of the standings.
As it stands, Real now need to just four points from their next five games, to be crowned Spanish league champions.

PSG are also on the verge of being crowned French champions, after a comfortable 3-nil victory over Angers this morning.
The Paris club now needs to only avoid defeat in their next game, to lift a record-equalling 10th league title.

Wimbledon organisers have decided to officially ban Russian and Belarusian players from this year’s Grand Slam due to the ongoing war in Ukraine.
This means men’s world number two Daniil Medvedev and women’s world number four Aryna Sabalenka will be among those absent from the tournament.
