Barcelona make their move for Lewandowski

Barcelona have reportedly tabled a 40 million euros bid for Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski.
However, the offer is likely to be turned down by the German club – who have not indicated how much they would be willing to accept for their star player.
Lewandowski is determined to leave Bayern this summer, having already declared that his career with the Bundesliga champions is over.

Son Heung Min has emerged as a surprise summer target for Real Madrid.
The Spanish champions are in the market for attacking options, following their failure to sign Kylian Mbappe, and with the departure of Gareth Bale and Isco.
Son had been one of Tottenham’s standout performers last season, scoring 23 goals to finish the campaign as the Premier League’s joint-top scorer.

FIFA has approved 26-man squads for the upcoming World Cup in Qatar.
This is an increase of three squad members and is due to the unusual timing of November’s tournament, as well as the impact of Covid-19 on the teams.

Badminton legend Datuk Lee Chong Wei does not agree with Lee Zii Jia’s decision to skip the Commonwealth Games.
The former world number one says the Games were always his priority as it is more important to the country, adding that Zee Jia’s absence will affect the country’s gold medal target.
He said this in response to Zii Jia’s withdrawal from the Commonwealth Games squad, to focus on the World Championships.
