Leaders Man City continue their push for the EPL title

Leaders Man City kept their Premiership title charge alive with a narrow 1-0 win over Everton.
The defending champions needed a late goal from Phil Foden to secure the win.
It sees City extend their lead to six points, although they’ve played a game more than second-placed Liverpool, who will be in action in the League Cup final tomorrow morning.

In other selected EPL results…Man United wasted several good chances and had to settle for a goalless home draw against Watford.
Crystal Palace and Burnley played out a 1-1 draw.
Aston Villa overcame Brighton 2-0
While Tottenham returned to winning ways with a 4-0 thrashing of Leeds.

This, amid reports that Marcelo Bielsa is on the verge of being sacked as Leeds manager.
The loss to Spurs was their fourth successive league defeat…leaving them two points above the relegation zone.

Over in Spain, Karim Benzema netted the winner as Real Madrid beat Rayo Vallecano 1-0…to go nine points clear at the top of the standings.
Meanwhile, defending champions Atletico Madrid beat Celta Vigo 2-0…to sit in fourth place.

Kylian Mbappe scored two and set up another, as PSG overcame St. Etienne 3-1.
Mbappe is now on 156 goals for PSG…making him the club’s joint-second highest goalscorer.
