man city get the upper hand in epl title race

Man City manager Pep Guardiola says the fate of the EPL title race is now in their hands, after a crucial 4-1 win over leaders Arsenal this morning.

He admits the title run-in will not be easy but urged his team to take advantage of their momentum.

Second-placed City have seven matches left in the season as opposed to Arsenal’s five, with only two points now separating both clubs.

-

Meanwhile, Erling Haaland was on the scoresheet for City this morning with his 33rd league goal of the season.

He has now broken the record for the most goals scored in a single 38-game campaign.

-

Elsewhere, Chelsea’s woes continued, as the Blues fell to a 2-0 defeat to Brentford, their fifth straight loss since Frank Lampard returned.

Liverpool moved up to sixth after a 2-1 comeback win over West Ham,

While Nottingham Forest secured a 3-1 win over Brighton to move out of the relegation zone.

-

Inter Milan are through to the Coppa Italia final after a narrow 1-0 win over Juventus in the semifinal second leg, for an overall 2-1 victory on aggregate.

-

And Lee Zii Jia has failed to defend his title at the Badminton Asia Championships after a first-round exit at the hands of his opponent from Hong Kong.
