The Dirtiest Euro Game In History
Jun 27, 2024
The Euro 2024 group match between the Czech Republic and Turkey is officially the dirtiest match in the history of the tournament.
The ref showed a whopping 18 cards, including two reds, during the ill-tempered game as both teams fought for a place in the last-16.
It's nearly double the previous record of 10 cards in a single game, which happened four times, in 1996, in 2000 and the 2016 final.
Turkey won the match 2-1 to reach knockout round, alongside Portugal.

Luke Shaw has assured that he will be available for England's Euro 2024 last-16 match against Slovakia.
The defender missed England's Group C campaign as he continued his recovery from a hamstring problem.
However he has since returned to training, and hopes to play a role against Slovakia this weekend.

Venezuela have qualified for the Copa America quarter finals after beating Mexico 1-0 this morning.
They are 3 points clear at the top of Group B, ahead of Ecuador who defeated Jamaica 3-1.
