Gyokeres Is A Gunner

Arsenal have finally completed the signing of Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting Lisbon, bringing an end to one of the summer’s longest-running transfer sagas.

The Sweden international joins on a five year deal worth around 63 million pounds in fees and add-ons.

Gyokeres has scored 97 goals during his two-season spell with Sporting, and helped them win the Portuguese league and cup double during the last campaign.

Bruno Fernandes scored twice, as Man United kicked off their pre-season tour of the US with a 2-1 win over fellow EPL side West Ham.

Elsewhere, AC Milan have defeated Liverpool 4-2 in their pre-season friendly in Hong Kong.

Max Verstappen has won the Sprint Race at the Belgian F1 GP…ahead of Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris.

Meanwhile, Norris has taken pole position for tonight’s main race, and will start in front of Piastri and Charles Leclerc.

And, Malaysia’s Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik have made the final of the China Badminton Open, where they will take on Indonesia’s Fajar Alfian and Shohibul Fikri for the men’s doubles title later today.
