Heartbreak For Msian Masters Champions

May 30, 2024

heartbreak for msian masters champions

Malaysian Masters champions Goh Soon Huat/Shevon Lai are out of the Singapore badminton Open.

The Malaysian mixed doubles pairs retired from their second-round match after Soon Huat suffered an apparent injury.

However, fellow mixed doubles players Chen Tang Jie/Toh Ee Wei moved into the quarterfinals, along with the men's doubles pair of Goh Sze Fei/Nur Izzuddin.

Leong Jun Hao also advanced after beating Indonesia's Anthony Ginting.

--

Liverpool will reportedly offer young defender Conor Bradley an improved contract.

It's to reward the 20-year-old right-back impressive performances when he filled in for the injured Trent Alexander-Arnold this past season.

Meanwhile it's believed that incoming boss Arne Slot will give Bradley more game time next season, which could see Alexander-Arnold moving to midfield.

--

Harry Maguire will soon hold talks with Manchester United about a possible contract extension.

The defender, who is entering the final year of his deal, is keen to stay at United for the long term regardless of what happens to current boss Erik ten Hag.

--

Meanwhile other reports claim that England boss Gareth Southgate is still Man United's preferred candidate, IF they decide to sack Erik Ten Hag this summer.

Southgate has yet to confirm his plans after Euro 2024.
