Jul 30, 2017
American swimmer Caeleb Dressel has nabbed 3 gold medals within just about one and a half hours, at the World Aquatic Championships in Hungary.
He won the men's 50 meters freestyle and 100 meters butterfly, before helping the US break a world record in the mixed 4x100 meters freestyle relay.
Dressel is the first American swimmer to win 3 gold medals in a single day at a world championships.
However, the 20-year-old has played down reports comparing him to legends like Michael Phelps.
Meanwhile, Olympic champ Joseph Schooling of Singapore bagged the bronze medal in the men's 100 meters butterfly.
He tied with British swimmer James Guy for 3rd place.
