Barca player tests positive for COVID-19

Aug 12, 2020

Barcelona's Champions League campaign will NOT be affected, after an unnamed player tested positive for COVID-19.

The Catalan giants said the player is currently undergoing pre-season training, and is NOT a part of the squad that's competing in the Champions League

Barca will take on Bayern Munich in the quarterfinals on Saturday morning.

--

PSG boss Thomas Tuchel says he will wait until the last minute, before deciding if Kylian MBappe will play in tomorrow morning's Champions League quarter-final against Atalanta.

The forward has been out of action, ever since he suffered ankle and ligament damage in their French Cup final win over St Etienne last month.

Meanwhile, Marco Verratti is still an injury absentee for the French club, while Angel di Maria is suspended.

Manchester United are looking to hijack Chelsea's bid for Bayer Leverkusen's Kai Havertz.

United were linked with Havertz in the past, but decided to focus their attention on Borussia Dortmund's Jadon Sancho instead.

Now that their pursuit of Sancho has failed, it's believed that the Red Devils are turning their attention back to Havertz.
