Brazil steps us efforts to keep F1 Grand Prix
Nov 13, 2018
Organisers of the Brazilian Grand Prix have stepped up efforts to keep the Interlagos circuit on the F1 calendar, after its contract expires in 2020.
The Brazilian GP had been under the spotlight in recent years, following a spate of violent robberies targeting F1 personnel.
During last year's race, several Mercedes team members were held up at gunpoint as they were leaving the circuit.
Luckily there were no such incidents this year, as local authorities stepped up security.
