Chan Peng Soon to see neurologist today

Dec 16, 2019

National shuttler Chan Peng Soon says he is still undergoing treatment, after he suffered from partial facial paralysis in the run-up to the BWF World Tour Finals in China last week.

For now, it's still not clear what condition the mixed doubles player is suffering from.

However, some doctors have speculated that it could be Bell's Palsy..  a condition that weakens or paralyses the muscles on one side of the face.

Meanwhile, Peng Soon's coach told The Star that the shuttler will see a neurologist today.

He adds, he's confident it will NOT affect the mixed doubles player's bid to qualify for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Arsenal's interim head coach Freddie Ljungberg says the Gunners MUST appoint a new permanent manager as quickly as possible.

He says the current set-up is not sustainable in the long run, as he is operating with a skeleton staff behind the scenes.

This comes after their 3-nil loss to Man City last night, their third consecutive home defeat in all competitions.

Meanwhile, Arsenal legend Emmanuel Petit has urged the Gunners to make Carlo Ancelotti their full-time manager.

He says it's not offen that a manager of Ancelotti's calibre becomes available in the middle of the season.. and hints that it COULD be destiny.

The Gunners are searching for a new manager after sacking Unai Emery earlier this month, while Ancelotti is available following his departure from Napoli.
