City couldn't afford players

Oct 27, 2020

Manchester City will take on Marseille in the Champions League tomorrow morning without an experienced striker.

Manager Pep Guardiola said they didn’t expect Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus to be out injured at the same time.

He also admitted plans to sign a backup fell through over the summer because of a lack of funds.

Rudiger could re-join Chelsea squad

Antonio Rudiger is reportedly set to re-join the Chelsea first-team after a brief exile.

The German national has yet to play a single minute of football for the Blues this season, but that’s set to change after a heart-to-heart talk with boss Frank Lampard.

The defender is tipped to feature in the Blue’s Champions League match against Krasnodar on Thursday.

Chelsea could train is Russia, despite coronavirus concerns

Chelsea will reportedly continue with plans to train in Russia before their Champions league match against Krasnodar on Thursday, despite coronavirus fears.

Blues officials are said to have checked the stadium and team hotels and are satisfied that COVID-19 protocols have been followed.

This comes after Bayern Munich cancelled plans to train in Russia before their Champions League match against Lokomotiv Moscow tomorrow, over reports of a rising number of infections.
