Datuk Lee Chong Wei will not be defending his title at next month's Malaysian Badminton Open.

According to the Badminton Association of Malaysia, the doctors treating him for nose cancer had advised him to delay his return for now.

They don't want him to put his body under any undue stress.

The former World Number One has not competed since he was diagnosed with the disease in July last year.

He returned to training early this year.

Man United are on alert, amid claims that Rafael Varane is considering his future at Real Madrid.

French reports claim that the centre-back is considering leaving the Spanish club after 8 years, to look for a fresh challenge elsewhere.

This isn't the first time Varane was linked with United... he turned down a chance to join them back in 2011.

Bayern Munich are reportedly considering a move for Gareth Bale.

The Welshman's future at Real Madrid is said to be in doubt following Zinedine Zidane's return, as the player was often sidelined during Zidane's first spell in charge.

UK reports say that while Bale prefers to stay in Spain, he may be open to moving to Germany.
