Based on records, it appears Italy may have the upper hand against Germany, ahead of their Euro 2016 quarterfinal tomorrow morning.
Italy have played Germany 8 times in major tournaments, and never lost.
In four knockout matches they have beaten the Germans four times, the latest being in the Euro 2012 semi-finals.
However, Italy have a midfield problem on their hands, as Daniele De Rossi may miss the match due to a thigh injury, while his most suitable replacement, Thiago Motta, is suspended.
