Mar 22, 2019

The Netherlands are off to a flying start in their Euro 2020 qualifying campaign, after thrashing Belarus 4-nil in their Group C opener.

Memphis Depay scored a brace, while Liverpool duo Virgil van Dijk and Georginio Wijnaldum also got on the scoresheet.

Elsewhere, Belgium thumped Russia 3-1, courtesy of two goals from Eden Hazard.

Another big result saw Scotland suffer one of their worst defeats in recent history, losing 3-nil to Kazakhstan, who are 77 places below the Scots in the world rankings.

Marcus Rashford withdraws from England squad through injury

England striker Marcus Rashford will miss his side's Euro 2020 qualifiers against the Czech Republic and Montenegro, due to an ankle injury.

The news comes just a day after Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold also pulled out with a back injury.

Three Lions boss Gareth Southgate says either Jadon Sancho or Callum Hudson-Odoi could take Rashford's place in the starting lineup.
