Euro gonna love this!

Jul 03, 2016

Germany boss Joachim Low says his young players performed better than their seniors in the Euro 2016 win against Italy this morinig.

The 2 sides drew 1-all at the end of regulation time, and Germany defeated Italy 6-5 on penalties.

Fun fact:Germany missed more penalties in this one shootout than in their entire history - three.

Another fun fact: Before this, Germany had never beaten Italy in an international tournament.

Germany will now face either hosts France or Iceland in the Euro semis.

This, as Iceland are set to field an unchanged line-up against the French.

This would be the 5th successive game featuring the same line-up, which could be dangerous as 9 of the players are one booking away from suspension.

Meanwhile, France boss Didier Deschamps is still undecided on his line-up, but is expected to favour the 4-3-3 formation.

France vs Iceland kicks off at 3am.
