F1 drops big hint about 2020 Malaysian GP

Jul 29, 2020

Formula 1 sporting chief Ross Brawn admits that it may bring the sport to Malaysia this year.

However, he says nothing is confirmed yet.

German reports previously said that F1 is considering a race in Sepang in November, as part of this season's revised calendar.

If confirmed, it will be the first F1 race in Malaysia since 2017.

F1 is also looking into staging a race in Vietnam.

Malaysian Under-19 footballer Luqman Hakim Shamsuddin is a strong favourite to reach the final round of voting for this year's Golden Boy Award.

This, as he currently leads the standings in online voting for the award, which is presented by Italy's Tuttosport newspaper to the best player aged 21 and under.

Previous winners include Lionel Messi, Anthony Martial, Kyllian Mbappe and Paul Pogba.

Meanwhile, Luqman is set to join Belgian club Kortijk next season.

Inter Milan have told Alexis Sanchez to take a pay cut, in order to convert his loan from Man United into a permanent deal.

Sanchez currently earns more than half a million pounds a week, which Inter cannot afford to pay.
