F1 plans for 'isolated environment' to launch season

Formula 1 is planning to create an isolated environment for competitors when it starts racing again in July in Austria.

It says they are working on a plan, in which teams and drivers would operate at races without spectators.

All 20 Serie A teams vote in favour of resuming and completing current season

All 20 clubs in the Italian Serie A have voted to resume the 2019-20 season whenever possible.

There had been reports that some clubs were against restarting the season, with Italy having been one of the worst affected countries in Europe by Covid-19.

However an agreement has now been reached between teams and the Italian football federation, but it will depend on whether the Italian government gives permission for football to start again.

Badminton World Championships after Olympics

The 2021 badminton World Championships will move from its August slot and begin in late November in Spain.

The Badminton World Federation says this is to avoid a clash with the rescheduled Tokyo Olympics next year.

It adds that the move allows both the Olympic badminton competition and the World Championships to be conducted fairly for everyone.
