Man City edge Liverpool to win Community Shield

Manchester City have won the Community Shield with a penalty shootout victory over Liverpool. 

The match ended 1-all after regulation time, with City winning the shootout 5-4, to earn their first piece of silverware this season.

Pep Guardiola's side are the first English team to win four domestic trophies in a calendar year.

City will kick off the new Premiership campaign with a visit to West Ham this weekend, while Liverpool entertain Norwich.

Manchester United have given up on trying to sign Juventus forward Paulo Dybala. 

Talks are believed to have broken down over the Argentine's high wage demands.

Speedy Tigers win Four Nations Invitational Tournament

The Malaysian men's hockey team are champions of the Four Nations Invitational Tournament. 

They held England to a 3-all draw, which was enough for them to emerge overall winners, following earlier victories over Spain and Ireland.
