Max Verstappen takes incident-strewn German F1 GP

Jul 29, 2019

Red Bull's Max Verstappen has claimed his second win of the F1 season, after a very chaotic German GP.

Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel finished second, despite starting from the very back of the grid, while Daniil Kvyat sealed a surprise podium for Toro Rosso.

Championship leader Lewis Hamilton made an uncharacteristic mistake which led to a costly crash, before recovering to finish in the top ten.

His teammate Valtteri Bottas also crashed out, and it's the first time in more than a year that Mercedes have failed to score a point.
