New Tokyo 2020 Dates To Be Decided This Week

Mar 30, 2020

The head of the 2020 Tokyo organising committee says the new dates for the Olympics could be decided this week.

For now, they are still deciding on whether to hold the games in the Spring or summer of next year.

Tokyo 2020 was delayed by a year, due to concerns over COVID-19.

Meanwhile, Australia's Olympic Committee has denied that it colluded with Canada, over its decision to pull out of the 2020 Tokyo Games.

It says it made the decision unilaterally, due to COVID-19 concerns, and had no idea that Canada would do the same.

Both countries said they would boycott the Games in July if the IOC decided to hold it as scheduled.

The EPL is looking at a unique way to finish the season, once the coronavirus-enforced suspension is lifted.

According to reports, teams will be placed in isolated camps in London and the midlands of England over June and July.

Matches will be played every day during the period, similar to a World Cup-style tournament.

There are a total of 92 matches left in the EPL season.

MotoGP world champion Marc Marquez is against the idea of holding double-race weekends, when the season finally starts.

Currently, all races until at least mid-May have been postponed due to COVID-19 concerns, with the latest being the Spanish GP.

It's been suggested that double-header weekends be held when racing starts, to make up for the postponed events, with one full race held on Saturday and another on Sunday.
