OCM: Sports sector will abide by CMCO SOPs

The Olympic Council of Msia says it will heed the SOPs that have been put in place for areas under the Conditional MCO.
OCM also called on everyone involved in sports events to fully comply with all the relevant regulations, to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
The govt earlier said that individual, non-contact and outdoor sports not exceeding 10 people are allowed under the CMCO.
Athletes can also continue their centralised training programmes.

England vs New Zealand football friendly called off
Next month’s planned international football friendly against England and New Zealand has been called off.
England were due to host the All Whites at Wembley but New Zealand withdrew from the clash, due to COVID-19 travel restrictions.
The English FA says it’s now looking for another opponent.

Alonso needs more practice ahead of F1 comeback
Former F1 world champion Fernando Alonso says he’ll need a lot more practice to get reacquainted with the sport.
The Spaniard test-drove this year’s Renault F1 car yesterday, ahead of his return to the team next year, and he admits he was ‘rusty’.
