Preparations to host SEA Games in final phase

Malaysia's preparations to host the SEA Games is now in the final phase.

The Youth and Sports Minister says all the venues for the events have been completed and now all the equipments are being set up.

Khairy Jamaluddin adds that most of the venues are already being used by the national athletes so they can adapt before the Games kick off.

Meanwhile, the Education Ministry has promised to reward any of its students and teachers who manage to win gold medals at the SEA Games.

However, it says it's still discussing on the appropriate form of incentive to present to them.

A total of 5 teachers and 134 students under the Education Ministry will be competing at the Games.

This includes women's singles shuttler Goh Jin Wei and national sprint king Khairul Hafiz Jantan.
