Real Madrid avoid embarrassing Champions League exit

Real Madrid are safely through to the Champions League last-16 after a 2-0 victory over Borussia Mönchengladbach.

Failure to win would have seen Real exit the tournament at the group stage for the first time in 24 years.

Bayern Munich overcame Lokomotiv Moscow 2-0.

Schumacher to make F1 debut

Mick Schumacher will make his Formula 1 debut at the season-ending Abu Dhabi GP, when he drives for Haas in the first free practice session tomorrow.
The son of F1 legend Michael Schumacher, who is also the newly-crowned Formula TWO world champion, will be joining Haas full-time next season.
Momota on the comeback trail
Badminton world number one Kento Momota has announced his return to action, for the first time since suffering serious injuries in a car accident in January.
