Silverstone looks set to remain on F1 calendar
Jul 09, 2019
It looks like the British F1 GP is here to stay!
A deal confirming that the iconic circuit has been saved could be announced tomorrow, as F1 and Silverstone are putting together finishing touches on a new contract.
As it stands, this weekend's race at Silverstone is set to be the last staged at the sport's oldest track, unless a fresh deal is agreed.
While Silverstone remains hopeful of pushing the deal through by this weekend, they will not rush into an agreement, unless all details are to their liking.

Over in the women's draw, Australia's World No. 1 Ashleigh Barty and 15-year-old star Cori Gauff have crashed out.
Seven-time champion Serena Williams, Simona Halep and Johanna Konta are among the big names through to the last-eight.

Neymar to face the music from PSG for missing pre-season duties
PSG say they will take "appropriate action" against star player Neymar, after the Brazilian failed to turn up for the first day of pre-season training.
However, Brazilian media quoted Neymar's father, as saying that the club "were aware" that the forward WAS SET to miss training, because of charity commitments.
PSG, meanwhile, note that Neymar wasn't in attendance at the agreed time and place, and that this was done without the club's authorisation.
