Singapore will not be rushed into extending F1 contract
Jun 22, 2017
Singapore says it will not be rushed into extending its contract with F1.
This, as negotiations are ongoing to renew the term of the night race there.
The F1 races in Singapore, as well as China, are the only unconfirmed events in next year's calender.
If things don't pan out with Singapore, it would mark the end of F1 in Southeast Asia, after Malaysia earlier announced this year's race would be our last.
Separately, Monisha Kaltenborn, the first ever female F1 team principal, has left the Sauber outfit with immediate effect.
This means Sauber, who are currently 9th in the constructors' standings, have no boss heading into this weekend's Azerbaijan F1 Grand Prix.
