Liverpool have confirmed they will officially unveil winger Takumi Minamino from RB Salzburg as a Reds player, in January.

The Japan international has signed a four-and-a-half-year deal until the summer of 2024, but Liverpool did not disclose the fee.

Minamino says it has always been his dream to become a Reds player.

If all goes well, the 24-year-old could make his debut for Liverpool in the Premier League against Everton on January 6th.

Carlo Ancelotti will reportedly be confirmed as Everton's new permanent manager before the weekend.

According to Skyports News,  Ancelotti will be at Goodison Park for the Premier League fixture against Arsenal on Saturday, and then will be officially presented to the media on Monday.

Ancelotti was dismissed by Napoli earlier this season despite guiding them into the Champions League knockout stage.

Arsenal are hoping Mikel Arteta's appointment will convince captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to sign a new contract.

The Gunners feel that Arteta's appointment might put a stop to the dressing-room unrest caused by poor results.

Aubameyang has just 18 months remaining on his contract and is in no rush to extend it.
