Tottenham and Liverpool get upper hand in Champions League quarters

Apr 10, 2019

Manchester City have their work cut out for them in their pursuit of the quadruple, following a 1-nil defeat to Tottenham in the first leg of the Champions League quarterfinals this morning.

Son Heung-min scored the only goal of the match late in the second half, to give Spurs a well-deserved advantage heading into next week's second leg.

It was an incident-packed game at Tottenham's new stadium, with the home side losing Harry Kane to an ankle injury.

Meanwhile, City also missed a penalty, with Hugo Lloris saving Sergio Aguero's spot kick.

Elsewhere, Liverpool have taken command of their Champions League quarterfinal with Porto, thanks to a 2-nil win in this morning's first leg at Anfield.

Naby Keita and Roberto Firminho netted the goals in the first half, to give the Reds an advantage ahead of next week's return leg in Portugal.

OCM to decide on number of events for Malaysians at SEA Games on April 25

The Olympic Council of Malaysia will only decide later this month, on the final number of events that Malaysia will compete in at this year's SEA Games.

It says it doesn't want to rush any decision, as it's still considering a few other sports not affiliated with the OCM, but are keen to compete.

As of now, Malaysia will be competing in 45 out of 56 sporting events at the Games in the Philippines this November.
