Tottenham edge Chelsea on penalties to make the EFL Cup QF

Tottenham are through to the EFL Cup quarterfinal after a dramatic 5-4 penalty shootout win over Chelsea.

The match ended 1-1 in regulation time after Timo Werner opened the scoring with his first goal for The Blues, only for Eric Lamela to net a late equaliser for Spurs.

Both sides converted nine penalties between them, before Mason Mount missed the crucial shot for Chelsea.

Tottenham now have a busy few days ahead of them, with a Europa League qualifier on Friday, before a Premiership clash against Man United on Sunday.

United not giving up on Sancho

Man United's over 91 million pounds bid for Jadon Sancho has reportedly been rejected by his club Borussia Dortmund.

The Bundesliga side are still not budging from their 100 million-plus pounds asking price, although United are expected to come back with another offer before the transfer window closes next week.

United are already believed to have reached a deal with Sancho regarding potential wages and agents fees.

Thiago tests positive

Liverpool have confirmed that new signing Thiago Alcantara is self-isolating after testing positive for Covid-19.

It was earlier reported that the midfielder would miss at least two games for the Reds, due to what the club had initially said was a fitness-related issue.

Mission to find new star para athletes

The Paralympic Council of Malaysia is hoping to unearth at least a thousand new para athletes nationwide, via its talent identification program.

Its part of efforts to seek quality back-ups to eventually replace national paralympic stars Muhamad Ziyad Zolkefli and Mohamad Riduan Puzi.
