Unai Emery plays down Arsenal prospects

Arsenal boss Unai Emery has played down hopes of a top-four finish this season. 

The Gunners are currently up to third in the EPL tale, after beating Newcastle 2-nil this morning. 

However, Emery says staying there cannot be guaranteed...

Just three points separate Arsenal, Tottenham, Man United and Chelsea in the battle for Champions League qualification. 

And to complicate things for the Gunners, 5 of their remaining 7 matches are away from home.

Yaya Toure wants Fifa and Uefa to take stronger action against racism

Former Man City player Yaya Toure has called on Fifa and Uefa to take a tougher stance on racism. 

This, after a number of England's black players were racially abused in their recent Euro 2020 qualifier against Montenegro. 

The usual punishment in these instances, is a fine or a stadium closure. 

However, Toure reckons that this isn't enough, it's done little to deter fans from making racist taunts.

Real Madrid's Raphael Varane open to departure

Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane is determined to leave this summer.

According to Spanish reports, teh Frenchman has told the club that he needs a new challenge elsewhere, after 7 seasons at the Bernabeu. 

Varane has been strongly linked with Manchester United, as well as Juventus and PSG.
